The Genlias Monitor is a free service for genealogists who automatically want to receive new additions to Genlias, the database of the Dutch national archives, to complement their genealogy.
Why does Genlias show more results than the Genlias Monitor?
The Genlias Monitor shows unique sources. In Genlias some sources are presented twice because a name name is contained twice in the (same) source. For example: you search for Coret and find a marriage certificate from the Civic Records of Wilhelmus Coret, son of Johannes Coret. The resultlist of Genlias will show two entries, one for Wilhelmus Coret with role "groom" and one for Johannes Coret with role "father groom". The Genlias Monitor will show only one entry (because its one and the same certificate). In the results of the Genlias Monitor the surnames are marked, in this way you quickly see if a name occurs more than once.
